Rebecca graduated from Queen’s University in 2009 after completing a dual degree in Arts, and Physical and Health Education. In 2013, Rebecca graduated from the Intensive Massage Therapy program at Algonquin College. Rebecca has coupled this knowledge with her intuitive understanding of the body, creating an ideal atmosphere for healing to take place.
Rebecca uses a variety of modalities in her practice including myofascial release, stretching, muscle energy technique, joint manipulation, cupping therapy, breath-work, soft-tissue release, and deep-tissue work.
Rebecca sees the value of a meditative practice and can coach individuals to include breath-work in her sessions to better help with moving stagnant energy through their bodies. Rebecca’s focus is on treating individuals who are actively looking to improve their health and wellness. Not only does Rebecca focus on everyday issues that may be affecting your activities of daily living, including postural alignment, muscle imbalances, overuse injuries and acute/chronic pain, but also has many clients who are working through injuries acquired from sports or physical activity.
Rebecca has gained invaluable experience working at well established clinics in Vancouver, BC, Ottawa, ON, and Kingston, ON over the years. Providing her the experience and expertise to create her own thriving massage therapy practice. In her spare time she can be found enjoying a number of activities, like spending time with her son and family, she is also an avid runner, hiker, snowboarder, paddle-boarder, and adventurer.
Whatever the reason you feel called to book an appointment with Rebecca she is confident she can aid in your healing journey. Whether that be through hands on treatment, cupping therapy, or guidance to find the right practitioner for you. Rebecca happily works alongside your current circle of care practitioners, and if you don’t have that in place she is happy to provide referrals to trusted healthcare practitioners she believes will benefit you and your healing journey.
