Rebecca graduated from Queen’s University in 2009 after completing a dual degree in Arts, and Physical and Health Education. Rebecca saw the benefits of hands on manipulative therapies with friends and family who experienced serious injuries, which encouraged her to pursue a career in Registered Massage Therapy.
In 2013, Rebecca graduated from the Intensive Massage Therapy program at Algonquin College. Using her background in kinesiology and anatomy, she is able to customize a treatment plan that works for each individual’s needs and level of comfort. Rebecca uses a variety of modalities including myofascial release, stretching, muscle energy technique, joint manipulation, breath-work, soft-tissue release, and deep-tissue work.
Rebecca also sees the value of a meditative practice and can include breath-work in her sessions to better help individuals with moving stagnant energy through their bodies. Rebecca’s focus is on treating individuals who are actively looking to improve their health and wellness. Not only does Rebecca focus on sports injury, but also on everyday issues that may be affecting your activities of daily living, including postural alignment, muscle imbalances, and acute/chronic pain.
Rebecca has gained invaluable experience working in Vancouver, BC, Ottawa, ON, and Kingston, ON over the past 8 years. In her spare time she can be found doing a number of activities. She is an avid runner, hiker, snowboarder, paddle-boarder, biker, yogi, and adventurer.
Whether you are a weekend warrior looking to improve your training goals, an elite athlete, or someone who is simply committed to living and feeling better generally, Rebecca can aid in your healing through an individualized plan for your specific needs.
